do you own a davenport gun?
A distant relative of Josh (we have traced the genealogy to confirm) was a manufacturer of firearms in Connecticut in the late 1800s and early 1900s. W.H. Davenport of the "W.H. Davenport Firearms Co." produced single shot rimfire rifles, double barrel shotguns, and single barrel shotguns (8ga thru 28ga).

The Davenport Coat of Arms, also known as a "Family Crest", is a man with a noose around his neck, because the Davenport family, after the Norman invasion of England in the 11th Century, was given the responsibility of hanging those trespassing and poaching in the Royal Forest of Macclesfield. This responsibility was handed down through the Davenport family for many generations and has been symbolized with the Davenport name ever since.
W. H. Davenport even put the Davenport Coat of Arms on the buttplate of many of his shotguns (the man with the noose around his neck).

Through the years, Josh has collected many Davenport shotguns and rifles and has decided to sell several.
He first sold some single shot 16 gauge and 12 gauge shotguns, but is now parting with some of his 8 gauge and 10 gauge shotguns, as well as double barrel shotguns and single shot rimfire rifles.
The 8 gauge shotguns are $1,500 each.
The 10 gauge shotguns, double barrel shotguns, and rimfire rifles are $750 each.
